Kraskino: 6 October traffic suspension and infrastructure trial launch

In its 30 September notice, Rosgranstroy said that all types of transport through the Kraskino road checkpoint will be temporarily suspended on 6 October 2026, from 13:00 to 19:00 Vladivostok time. The suspension is for events marking the opening of the upgraded infrastructure. The notice announces a six-hour interruption; it does not specify waiting times before or after it.

If your shipment is routed through Kraskino, ask the carrier to compare the vehicle’s actual arrival time with this interval. Separately confirm the Chinese side’s operating schedule, any booking or assigned crossing window, and the consignee’s receiving slot; agree on changes if needed. Do not plan on a guaranteed crossing time immediately after traffic resumes.

On 22 September, Rosgranstroy reported that traffic through the new infrastructure at the Kraskino road crossing had started in trial mode. The crossing is in Primorsky Krai on the border with China.

The notice lists 16 traffic lanes and capacity of up to 750 vehicles a day, compared with roughly 200 previously. These are stated infrastructure figures; they do not show the current queue or the crossing time for an individual truck.

Editorial advice: before departure, confirm with the carrier and the party handling clearance that the crossing suits your cargo and agreed delivery arrangement. Check current operating hours, arrival procedures and an operational contact.

Do not automatically assume the previous arrival arrangements apply to the new facility. If instructions change, give the driver one agreed version and specify who will confirm arrival. This is especially useful when cargo passes between several operators.

Ask for an estimated delivery window covering the full route: vehicle positioning, loading, documents, the crossing and onward travel. Higher capacity at one facility does not imply an equivalent reduction in total transit time.

If the warehouse uses fixed slots, agree the permitted shift and notification process in advance. For groupage, check the buffer before the next delivery stage; for cargo with special conditions, confirm the acceptable waiting time separately.

Provide origin and destination addresses, a cargo description, package count, weight, dimensions and preferred receiving date. Cross-check transport and commercial documents before dispatch: inconsistent information may require clarification regardless of the facility equipment.
